FAQ:
Q: We’re a little awkward when it comes to posing, will you help us with that?
A: Have no fear, because I will provide you with all of the direction you need when you get in front of the camera!
Trust me, I know it will feel a little awkward. I also get weird when the lens gets turned on me. But I will guide you and prompt you through your entire session. We’ll start with some easy stuff, and then dive in and get a little goofy.
I believe the best moments captured are the candid ones, so don’t be surprised if I give you prompts like, “whisper your taco bell order in your significant other’s ear”, or “hold each other and sway back and forth.”
Don’t worry about bringing blankets or crazy props. I strive to capture your true authentic selves, and usually those only bring distraction.
Q: Can I bring my dog to our engagement session?
A: Absolutely! I am a dog person, and have a fluffy friend of my own. I believe dogs are a part of the family, and totally understand the want to have them photographed with you during this exciting time of your life.
As long as we’re not shooting in a location that doesn’t allow dogs, please bring them! It helps to have an extra set of hands to help wrangle them. If you can bring a mom/cousin/friend to assist and possibly transport the dogs - that is perfect . We will most likely spend the first 10-15 minutes with your doggos, and then the rest of the session will be focused on you!
Q: I don’t have any place in mind to take our photos, do you have suggestions?
A: Yes. There are many places around Milwaukee that I’ve deemed tried and true for photo taking.
If you have a certain vibe or aesthetic in mind for your shoot, please share that with me! I am more than happy to location scout or offer my advice on good places to go.
One thing to keep in mind are certain locations require a photography permit to shoot at. This is no big deal - I will always check that beforehand. However, the client will be responsible for covering that photography permit cost.
